The biodiversity of Borneo

Field Herpetologists Ries Man and Pui Yong Min take us on a guided tour through Borneo's Kubah National Park and Bako National Park. We ventured deep into the forest of Kubah National Park where we photographed the highest number of species in the shortest amount of time. Most of the species we encountered were frogs, however we also found snakes, lizards, arachnids geckoes and plenty of invertebrates! Our final destination was Bako National Park which is home to the iconic and critically endangered Proboscis Monkey. Unfortunately their habitat is being destroyed for palm oil along with many other species within this region. Ries Man and Pui Yong Min are some of the good guys providing education and increasing awareness for the threatened species that inhabit Borneo's National Parks through guided tours.
