This is a highly venomous adult male Bornean Keeled Pit Viper. Males are characterised by their vibrant green colouration with yellowish belly and various thin pale-coloured stripes along its body. They are exclusively arboreal, inhabiting lowland and coastal forests at heights ranging from low to vegetation to mid-canopy levels. Their diet comprises of rodents and birds. This male was found in a tree near a swamp, presumably on the hunt for birds.
